Another Apostle Peter

I have to share this with people who visit my humble blog, both because it is worth reading and to encourage my fellow Orthodox Christians who also follow our Lord Jesus Christ to see an example of true, living Orthodoxy. This is an article about Coptic priest Zakaria Botros that is posted on the Infidel Bloggers Alliance. Father Botros (I believe his family name is the Coptic form of Peter, hence the title of this post) is an Orthodox evangelist to the Arab, mostly Islamic, world. Without all the theatrics and charismatic shamanism that goes on in televangelistic orgs such as TBN, Fr Botros brings the life-giving message of the gospel of Jesus Christ to millions of Arabs, via television, internet and other media. Without getting commissioned by the hierarchy, he has taken the Lord's "great commission" seriously, and is winning back souls to Christ, out of the slavery of Islam. That's about all I can say about him. I invite you to read the rest, by following this link: Al Qaeda Declares Coptic Priest Zakaria Botros "One of the Most Wanted Infidels in the World"

Pray for the continuing ministry of this man of God, for his protection from adversaries, and for long life. Fr Zakaria, may God grant him many, many years!
